  “During a time where I was in desperate need of finding more space for my family I decided to look into Oak Lawn Estates. Maybe it was their catchy commercial jingle, the way they portrayed trailer life as stylish and lovely. Be a redneck in STYLE!... I'm not sure. But I found a 2 bedroom apartment that they were happy to show me. The woman was friendly and I filled out an application fee. 30 Dollars.
  Now, I wait a few days before finally getting a call back. My credit didn't seem good enough. Okay, understandable. So, I ask
  If I get a co signer then, I'm alright?
  The woman tells me,
  Yes, that's all we need.
  So, I have my grandmother co sign for me.
  Another 30 Dollars.
  The next day I get a voice mail. The woman simply says I'm sorry you don't meet the requirements.
  Confused and upset I call back right away.
  I had stopped looking for other places because I thought I had this one.
  She tells me Because of the neighbor upstairs and you having children ( she knew I had kids because I had taken them with me to see the place and it was never a problem before ) we cannot rent to you. We don't want any problems
  Apparently, Oak Lawn allows pedophiles to rent out their places but they don't want kids. Well, makes perfect sense. Keep the peds around and you won't have to worry about kids being loud and riding their bikes in anyone's yard.
  I tried getting back the money for the application.. but OOOPS they had already cashed it. What a coincidence.
  I still want my 60 dollars back! I hope you read this, Oak Lawn... you thieves!”
